Xchat Aqua *note* this project is not as current as other versions of Xchat. You might be happier with Colloquy instead.Once you have XChat installed, fill out your user information (how you want people to see you when connected). Tip: don't use your real information. Pick a clever nick name. Click the XChat menu then choose Network list and fill in the blanks.
Step 1: Choose XChat>Connection List (ctrl-s)
Step 2: Fill in nickname informationNext, click the add button, and enter in a name you'll remember. e.g. Agora IRC. This will be the entry you use to connect to.

Click the edit button for the new entry you just created. This will bring up the connection details for the new entry. This is where you'll input all the server information. Click the Add button at the top right and enter exactly what I have shown in the screen-shot. Make sure all the options you have selected match the screen-shot exactly. It won't connect properly otherwise.

Finally, when you're done filling out the options, click close.
Now, all you need to do is hit connect!

You won't have to do repeat these steps each time you want to connect. The next time you open XChat, you'll automatically be connected.
